Earlier this month, Nicole had the opportunity to join a distinguished group including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Governor Jared Polis, Speaker of the House Julie McCluskie, Senate President Steve Fenberg, members of the State Department, legislative leaders, community partners, and higher education students to discuss Colorado’s innovative workforce training and career pathway programs and legislative efforts. Nicole states, “Our state policy makers and partners, regardless of which side of the aisle they are on and who they represent, work together to ensure our youngest Coloradans have the best opportunity to find and pursue careers, including critically important early childhood professions.”
Congratulations to Steamboat Ski & Resort, honored with the MTS Summit Award for their innovative employer-based childcare facility! They saw their local community and employees struggling with finding childcare, and they did something about it by opening an employer-based childcare facility in December, 2022, that serves Steamboat employees and community members. This is a well-deserved honor as one of only a few ski resorts in the country to provide this critical benefit to its employees. EPIC is proud to have played a supporting role in creating the center through our one-of-a-kind Design Lab.

EPIC is proud to support our member, Marty Ruffalo, and board members Ryan Beiser and Stacie Packard as they advocate for CCTC in an opinion piece in Colorado Politics. The CCCTC was created in 1998 and is available to taxpayers who contribute to childcare, foster care, youth shelters, residential treatment centers, before and after-school programming and grant programs to help families afford childcare. This year, HB 23-1091 seeks to continue the tax credit for another three years. To read more from Colorado Politics click here.
