About the Design Lab

Boost your recruitment, retention, and workforce engagement strategy. Through a series of four (4) cohort-based workshop sessions and two (2) one-on-one coaching sessions, leaders are equipped to address child care needs and positively impact their bottom line.

Design Lab leave with: 

– An understanding of the local child care landscape.

– An implementation-ready child care solutions plan. 

– Clarity on the bottom line impact for their business. 

Workshop Dates

  • Wednesday, August 13
  • Wednesday, August 27
  • Wednesday, September 17
  • Wednesday, October 1

1-on-1 coaching sessions will be scheduled for the beginning of September and the beginning of October

Frequently Asked Questions

Employers should apply if they: 

  • Are interested in:
    • Learning about how to increase employee recruitment and retention by removing barriers to child care for their employees
    • Strengthening local early childhood capabilities and capacity
  • Have between 50 – 500 employees or a consortium of organizations with total employees in this range

Businesses participating in the Design Lab will:

  • Identify a dedicated point person who has:
    • Direct access to decision-makers at their organization as well as personnel data
    • Two hours a week from August through October to drive this work within their organization.
  • Have C-Suite sponsorship or buy-in.
  • Contribute $5,000 to participate in this experience.
    • Participation will be prioritized based on application strength. Reach out to discuss options if participation cost is a barrier.

We will review your materials and may invite you for an interview. We are aiming to send out selection notices in mid-July.
